The 5th oldest continuously parading organization of the New Orleans Mardi Gras season.

Rex rolls immediately following Zulu on the traditional St. Charles Route. Rex celebrates 125 years in 2007 with the theme The Lunar Realm. The identities of the King and Queen of Carnival are only announced on Lundi Gras. The organization was founded in 1872 and membership is a closely guarded secret.

The Krewe du Vieux was founded in 1987 from the ashes of the storied Krewe of Clones. This wild, satirical Carnival parade, which first marched in 1978, was based out of New Orleans' Contemporary Arts Center.

While originally held on the Wednesday before Mardi Gras, Babylon now parades on the Thursday before Mardi Gras.

The August members of Le Krewe d'Etat heed only edicts from their Dictator, whose identity is never revealed, and claim the streets of New Orleans annually and present a parade without peer on the Friday before Mardi Gras, or "Fat Friday" as it is now known.

From its founding in 1993, Orpheus has consistently stunned the revelers on Lundi Gras, the night before Mardi Gras, and has exploded as the largest new Krewe in the past 30 years.

The Krewe of Pontchartrain was organized in 1975 and is named after Lake Pontchartrain, which forms the northernmost border of New Orleans. The Krewe of Pontchartrain consists of both men and women whose goal is to provide a quality Mardi Gras parade for the citizens of New Orleans and its guests.

Founded in 2000, the Krewe of Cork is quickly growing into a world famous Mardi Gras and wine industry phenomenon.

The Mystic Krewe of Apollo was founded in New Orleans in 1969 to foster brotherhood, unity and equality within our society. The main function was to stage an annual Bal Masque during the Mardi Gras Season.In 1976 Apollo became a unique organization with the introduction of a sister krewe, Apollo de Lafayette.

Each year, the Krewe of King Arthur's 300+ members are best known for their afternoon parade on the first Sunday of Mardi Gras, commonly known as "family Sunday" in the Carnival schedule. The King Arthur parade strolls down beautiful St. Charles Avenue on the historic Uptown New Orleans route before turning onto Canal Street in front of tens of thousands of spectators of all ages.

The Lords of Leather is the only leather-oriented Mardi Gras krewe in the country. We are a not-for-profit social organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The purpose of the krewe is to function with “Medieval” Traditions as a Leather Oriented Mardi Gras krewe in addition to a Leather Oriented Social Club.

The Corps de Napoleon was established in 1980 to give Jefferson Parish an excitingly different approach to Mardi Gras. From its inception, the Corps de Napoleon's goal has been to honor the French heritage of New Orleans and the surrounding parishes. Unlike other organizations who chose Greek or Roman mythological figures as their namesakes, the Corps de Napoleon instead looked to France for its roots and selected Napoleon, France's greatest hero.

The Krewe of Alla was established in 1932. Known as the fourth's oldest parading Krewe , Founded 76 years ago by the Westside Social and Carnival Club presented it's first inaugural parade with one float on Fat Tuesday , 1933.
